About · Our Story

The right people
in the right place.

A recording studio born from a love of music and a respect for the craft.

Our Story

Two decades
chasing the ideal.

The original idea dates all the way back to 2002. At that time, Martin Kroupa was studying at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague and witnessed the creation of the studio there — an experience that would inspire him for years to come.

Two decades and a few life turns later, the right people came together in the right place. In 2022, Martin decided to join forces with outstanding sound engineer Jirka Topol Novotný, and together they launched a new venture.

Today, anyone can see — and hear — the result for themselves, in person, at the professional MaMu Studio with its remarkable reach.

Martin Kroupa

Idea maker

Martin's dreams of a career as a guitarist and graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory changed forever when, in his second year, he caught the sound-engineering bug. The guitar had competition — but making a living from it wasn't quite possible back then. After years that seemed to lead in a different direction, music pulled him back. He began playing actively again and now dedicates himself to composing and guitar — all of which he can pursue in his very own recording studio.
